Very very common among the elderly.
Pretty much caused by old age.
I guess as u age, ur brain cells age as well.
Leading to loss of intellectual ability and probably making an elderly senile.
As much as its annoying and disrupting to my work, having a demented patient can rrly be comical.
For example, i have such a patient for the entire round of my nyte shift.
She, doesn't sleep till wee hours of the morning.
She speaks Hokkien and i honestly can never understand her.
She would climb out and back into bed on her own.
Play wit switches and yes, she even made sure everyone of us eats.
She even asked my colleague in Hokkien, "wat do u all want to eat tmr? Aunty cook for u."
After a brief translation from my fellow colleague, i said, "Tell her i want steak!"
The colleague rolled her eyes at me and conveyed the message over.
Poor aunty kept quiet for a minute, and when she finally replied, she said, "how thick?"
I burst out laughing.
And there i was thinkin i'd tell her i want my steak to be done medium rare.
