Our Bakawali or Orchid Cactus, bloomed 2 nytes ago.
It was beautiful.
Very strong sweet smelling scent made its way into the house.

Since we missed our first bloomed last August, d.mother was REAL happy she could stick around while the flower bloom further.

Cos u see, the Orchid Cactus doesn't bloom all the tyme.
It starts opening up its pretty white petals at nyte.
And the blooming process reaches its peak at 12MN - on the dot.
4hours later, pretty flower begins to wilt away and die.
And the cycle goes on, and on.

And legend has it, dat at 12MN, while the process is at its peak, a lil princess will appear.
And if u manage to catch her before she leaves, ur wishes will be granted.
Both d.mother and d.father dint manage to wait up till 12MN, so i guess we missed our guest.
